The App is designed for shoppable video and UGC experiences. It allows merchants to display video testimonials and video content on their storefront in different formats, including carousel, grid, and video stories. When a shopper clicks a video, the App may open an interactive video view with social engagement features such as like and share, and may also show an add to cart option with a quick product add form. The App also includes collections, analytics, collection-level customization, and an interface that helps merchants manage video commerce content in a simple and efficient way.

1. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the App in connection with a merchant’s use of the App inside Shopify and on the merchant’s storefront.
This Privacy Policy applies to merchants who install the App, merchant staff who use the App, and limited shopper-related information processed as part of the App’s storefront functionality.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Merchant account and store information
When a merchant installs or uses the App, the App may collect and process:
- Shopify store domain and store-related identifiers
- Merchant and staff account information made available through Shopify
- App configuration settings and customization preferences
- Collection settings, layout settings, display rules, and collection-level customization data
- Product references necessary to support shoppable video functionality and add to cart actions
2.2 Video and content data
The App may collect and process content uploaded, imported, embedded, or managed by the merchant, including:
- Video testimonials
- UGC video content
- Thumbnails, titles, captions, tags, and associated metadata
- Collection grouping and content organization data
2.3 Device, usage, and technical information
The App may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- IP address or approximate network-based location information
- Log data, diagnostics, error reports, and performance information

3. How We Use Information
The App uses information to operate, improve, and support the service, including to:
- Provide the App’s shoppable video and UGC functionality
- Display video reviews and video collections on storefronts in carousel, grid, and story-style formats
- Enable shoppers to open videos, interact with content, and use quick add to cart functionality
- Allow merchants to customize how video content appears on their storefront
- Manage collections and collection-level settings
- Measure performance, engagement, and conversion-related activity
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App

4. Shopper and End-Customer Data
The App is intended to help merchants improve conversion by making video-based shopping experiences more interactive and by helping shoppers quickly add relevant products to cart from video content.
In connection with these features, the App may process limited shopper interaction data, such as video opens, clicks, likes, shares, add to cart interactions, and related event data needed to power storefront functionality and analytics.
The App does not sell shopper personal data. The App only uses shopper-related data as reasonably necessary to provide the App’s features, improve performance, support merchants, and comply with applicable law.
5. Analytics and Performance Data
The App may generate and display analytics for merchants, including metrics related to:
- Video views
- Engagement events
- Collection performance
- Clicks on product-related actions
- Add to cart interactions
- General conversion-supporting behavior associated with App features
These analytics are used to help merchants understand how their video content performs and how the App contributes to shopper engagement and purchase behavior.
6. Sharing of Information
The App may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers and infrastructure partners that support hosting, storage, analytics, monitoring, customer support, and technical operations
- With Shopify, as necessary for App installation, operation, platform compliance, billing, and App-related services
- When required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful request
- To protect the rights, security, integrity, and operation of the App, merchants, shoppers, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction
The App does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for unrelated third-party marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention and Storage
The App retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain analytics, support merchant operations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
If a merchant uninstalls the App, data may be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legitimate business purposes, fraud prevention, security, accounting, recordkeeping, or legal compliance.
8. Data Security
The App uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. For that reason, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Privacy Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, merchants and, where relevant, end customers may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent in relation to their personal information.
Merchants are responsible for handling their own customer-facing privacy disclosures where required by law. If a merchant or shopper submits a privacy-related request connected to data processed through the App, the App may require sufficient information to verify the request before taking action.
Requests should be submitted using the contact details provided in the App’s Shopify App Store listing or through the App’s official support channel.
10. International Data Transfers
Information processed through the App may be stored or processed in countries other than the country where the merchant or shopper is located.
Where required by law, appropriate measures may be used to protect personal information during international transfers.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for business use by merchants and is not directed to children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
12. Subscription Plans and Billing
The App offers two subscription plans. Subscription-related information may be processed as necessary to manage access to App features, maintain the merchant’s selected plan, support billing status, and provide plan-based functionality.
Billing and payment processing may be handled through Shopify billing infrastructure and other authorized payment-related providers, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, operational practices, or Shopify platform requirements.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
